This is the fourth book by TK Toppin I've had the pleasure of reading. Once again, she delivers a top-notch sci-fi romp of an adventure, chock-full of romance and intrigue. World-building, action, character: these are the areas where Ms. Toppin's talents really shine. The story is definitely interesting, as we follow along with Special Inspector Pedroni, hot on the trail of Earth's most notorious vigilante, Jax Marlin. Of course, as he closes in on his target, he finds himself becoming more and more intrigued with this very sexy vigilante, which serves only to complicate his life (personally and professionally).I think it's safe to say that Jax Marlin is definitely my favourite of Ms. Toppin's spunky heroines (step aside, Josie Bettancourt!), and I'm sure she'll fast become a fan-favourite, too.

I've read many of T.K. Toppin's novels and i have to say this one puts you on the edge of your seat. "To catch a Marlin" is pure 24th century action at its best! The good guy, the bad girl (Jax marlin), hard to tell really and that's why this is an enthralling read! Pedroni vs Jax - the new WWE smackdown!
Can you craft a great story in just two hundred words? TK Toppin surely can. Her well articulated style of writing has made it really easy to read a book without any effort of my part. I have suggested this book to non readers as well because they way her story has been designed can turn anyone into a reader.
TK Toppin weaves a fantastic tale of intrigue, action and suspense in this novel. Her characters are well-formed, as is the supporting cast, and the romance between the two main characters is believable. Her writing is vivid and compelling, drawing one on through the book as one follows the action. Her fight sequences are a point of excellence, throwing punch and counter-kick with ease. No impossible moves there – unless one’s a floor-hugger like me who just can’t pull ’em like the rest of them…
If you like your suspense and action, this one’s for you. Oh, and you need to appreciate a good dollop of science fiction.
TO CATCH A MARLIN is a book that goes well with the description “a wild ride.” Jax Marlin is an awesome heroine. I loved the adventure, but Jax kept me reading. She is witty and just jumps right in. Did I mention the hot chemistry between Jax and Special Inspector Pedroni?
I also loved the setting. This is an excellent book to get lost in. It easily earns 5 stars from me.
I have been a T.K. Toppin fan for years and enjoyed Jax Marlin during her first editions way back when. I can't tell you how happy I am to see the relaunch of such a fun, fast-paced, science fiction detective series. Jax is the perfect combination of Audrey Hepburn a la How to Steal a Million and the hard on bad guys but soft on love, Harley Quinn. You can feel the tension between Jax and Inspector Pedrino in every aspect of their interactions and even when they aren't on the page together. Looking forward to enjoying more Jax Marlin books. They just make me feel good.

This was a great read with a cross between sci-fi, mystery, and suspense. I will have to say that I loved, loved, loved Jax's fight scenes. They were so well written that you felt like you were in the middle of the fight. I found my self ducking and weaving and cheering Jax on. She is one tough, bad-a** chick. She is keeping an eye on Inspector Pedroni who is out to apprehend her. In the background they have an attraction to each other. I loved the small tokens she left him.
Ms. Toppin does a great job of writing a story that keeps the pages turning. It was non stop action, angst, suspense and mystery. I loved the sci-fi part of it also, it kept the story intriguing. I definitely will have to read the other Jax Marlin stories.
