Two tales of men, turned into monster girls in a karmic rebalancing, only to find that it gives them the chance to live a happier life. The Nymph and the Fox. List of scenes below.

The Nymph
Scene 1 In which Adoration proves to be more curse than blessing, and our protagonist is unmanned. Fetishes include gender transformation.
Scene 2 In which loneliness proves to be a greater danger than any other, and a hero appears to save the damsel. Fetishes include cunnilingus.
Scene 3 In which our protagonist and our hero enjoy the fruits of a life well-spent. Fetishes include fellatio, coitus, and pregnancy.

The Fox
Scene 1 In which our protagonist learns that when drinking with Tanuki, cheating may have unexpected consequences. Fetishes include gender transformation.
Scene 2 In which our protagonist learns that when drinking with monks, cheating may have unexpected consequences. Fetishes include public sex, masturbation, coitus, and enslavement.
Scene 3 In which our protagonist finds themselves an honest job, and seeks to become an honest woman, for certain very loose definitions of the word 'honest'. Fetishes include coitus, fellatio, semen-infused food, and teasing.

I will preface this with a clear mention that the whole forced-gender-bender theme isn't really my thing. I don't hate it, per se, so much as I feel it is very easy to do wrong, very difficult to do right, and offers little reward for the risks it represents. That said, I do feel that the generally-positive tone of both stories offsets the potential existential dread at work, so potential readers need not worry about that. Also, I'd warn of spoilers, but there's literally a complete summary of both on the book's page.

Now, with that out of the way, critique:

The first story has a bit of that "never deal with a fairy" lesson to it that reminds me of an old-tyme fairy tale, which is a point in its favor. It's actual narrative isn't bad, per se, just... archetypical. Person gets tricked and trapped by fairies, is abused by fairies for many years, is eventually freed by a clever suitor who frees them from the fairies. Person quickly falls in love with said suitor, and they all lived happily ever after. Agan, not bad (Lord knows I like me a dose of Grimm every now and then), but still rather stock in its narrative and characterization.

The second story, similarly, gives off something of a Japanese folk tale vibe, though I feel the opening, where the protagonist gets outsmarted by the tanuki, and the second part, which is a much-more-straightforward "clever monk outsmarts wily fox" kind of folk-tale, are a bit more disconnected. I liked it too, and though I'd've preferred if the monk cleverly outwitted the fox instead of just drinking her under the table with his iron liver, I appreciate that it is not really in the spirit of the genre. I do feel the repetitive catchphrase in the third part was... trying to be a little more clever than it actually was, if that makes sense, though an attempt to be clever is still appreciated.

On that note, last chapter of both stories is pretty much just fluffy stuff and smut. But, on the other hand, I kinda like fluffy stuff and smut, so take that as you will.

Thematically, I have to say that although I don't fully enjoy or appreciate the "gender bending" fetish, to the extent I *do* understand it, it's not all that well-implemented here. In the first tale, one cut out the gender-bending completely and made the main character just a farm girl or shepardess chugging some irresistability potion without reading the fine print, I don't feel the narrative would have been changed at all, and in the second, the main character is completely over his transformation and warming to his new life as a trickster fox chick practically before it's even done happening, with the rest of the story being a basic fox girl tale. So, on those notes, readers who anticipate lots of the usual gender-bending stuff might be disappointed, while readers like me who *don't*, won't be.

Would I recommend it? Conditionally, yes. If you're looking for a good, budget set of semi-smutty monster girl romance stories, this is a fine buy. If you're looking for a heavy focus on the gender-bending elements, you may be disappointed.
